Intensive IB Courses: Revision, Pre-IB and Mid-IB
Quick Answer
An IB course is intensive group preparation for Diploma Programme students. IB Courses runs three: a 10-week IB Revision exam camp (30 hours per subject), a 5-week Pre-IB preparation camp, and a 5-week Mid-IB review between IB 1 and IB 2. Groups are capped at 6 students and every course is delivered online.
Lesson packages
Prices are set in US dollars and charged in your local currency. Split 10 and 20-lesson packages across any subjects you like — no limit, no expiry date.
Group courses are not a cheaper substitute for one-to-one lessons — they do a different job. One-to-one work closes a specific gap; a group course revises a whole syllabus systematically.
The hourly cost of the group format is roughly a sixth of one-to-one. In exchange the programme is fixed and does not bend to an individual student's gaps.

They solve different problems. The table below sets out which fits when.
| Group IB course | One-to-one tutoring | |

| Programme | Fixed syllabus schedule | Built around the student's gaps |
| Group size | Maximum 6 | One student |
| Cost per hour | About 38 USD | About 67 USD |
| Timing | Fixed calendar | Agreed with the student |
| Best for | Broad pre-exam revision | Closing a specific gap |
Why a cap of six?
Group size is what decides whether a course is revision or a lecture. Beyond six students the teacher stops fielding questions, past-paper work turns into one-way delivery, and students lose the chance to see their own errors corrected.
The cap is expensive and it is the main driver of the hourly price — but removing it would leave a programme no different from watching a recording.
Which programme, and when
Pre-IB runs in the summer before the Diploma begins and is planned alongside subject choice. Mid-IB runs in the summer between IB 1 and IB 2 to consolidate the first year. IB Revision runs January to April, roughly ten weeks out from the final exams.
For students sitting the November session, the Revision programme starts at the end of the summer.
IB courses: frequently asked questions
What does an IB course cost?
- On the IB Revision camp one subject is 30 hours of group teaching at 1,150 USD; two subjects 2,150 USD, three 3,000 USD and four 3,900 USD. Pre-IB runs 385-1,300 USD and Mid-IB 765-2,600 USD.
Are the courses online?
- Yes. Every group programme runs on our own live tutoring platform, with access to lesson recordings.
How many subjects can I take?
- Programmes are priced by subject count: one, two, three or four. Each subject gets its own group and its own schedule.
Would one-to-one lessons be better than a course?
- If you need to close a gap in one topic, one-to-one is faster. If you need to revise a whole syllabus systematically and budget is a constraint, the group programme is more efficient. The two are often combined.
