Our Approach
The IB Diploma Programme is one of the most academically demanding high-school programmes in the world. The 45-point assessment system is built on 7 points in each of 6 subjects, and an additional 3 points from the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay (EE) components. CAS carries no points but is required for the diploma; it is no longer counted in hours – it runs for at least 18 months against seven learning outcomes and a CAS project.
Within this structure, the Internal Assessment (IA) makes up a significant portion of the final grade, and the assessment criteria are defined separately for each subject. Our teaching plan runs in step with the IA / EE / TOK requirements and the final exam format.
