About IB Turkish A SL Tutoring
Our IB Turkish A SL tutoring programme covers the in-depth study of Turkish language and literature. We develop literary analysis, text study and written expression skills.
The course examines selected works from Turkish and world literature. Literary analysis techniques are taught for the novel, short story, poetry and drama. Works by authors such as Orhan Pamuk, Yaşar Kemal and Nâzım Hikmet are addressed in detail.
We provide comprehensive preparation for Paper 1 (Guided Textual Analysis), Paper 2 (Comparative Essay) and the Individual Oral (IO). Different strategies are taught for each exam component.
Academic essay writing is a core focus. We teach using literary terminology, supporting with quotations and argumentation techniques.
For IO preparation we provide detailed support on choosing the global issue, extract analysis and presentation practice.
IB assessment experience
Lessons are, wherever possible, planned with teachers who have relevant subject experience and a strong command of the IB assessment criteria. For some subjects we can offer lessons with teachers who have IB Examiner experience; matching is done based on subject, level and teacher availability.
