IB IA checker: use feedback to review your own draft

An IA checker can give you another set of observations to consider when revising your work. Read the feedback beside the original passage, table or calculation it refers to. Check whether the observation is supported before deciding what to change. A suggested score is an estimate, not the mark your school or the IB will award.

The useful next step is a revision you can explain: clarify a method, check a calculation or connect a conclusion to evidence. Keep your source material and working so that the revised report remains your own.

Grade my IB coursework: choose the right task

This page directs you to subject IA tools. An IA, an Extended Essay and a TOK essay are different tasks, so feedback for one should not be treated as an assessment of another. Select the subject and task you are actually preparing. For an Extended Essay, use the separate EE tool.

Use the feedback as a discussion aid alongside your school's instructions. It does not approve your submission, authenticate your sources or replace the teacher supervising and assessing your coursework.

Physics IA grader: review the investigation

The Physics option organises feedback under research design, data analysis, conclusion and evaluation. Before revising, ask whether the method answers the research question, whether the analysis uses the measurements correctly, and whether the conclusion follows from the evidence. Explain how a limitation affects the result rather than listing a generic weakness.

Check any suggested calculation against the measurements you collected. You can open the Physics IA tool or arrange subject tutoring when you need to discuss the reasoning in detail.

Economics IA grader: review one commentary

Review one Economics commentary using criteria for diagrams, terminology, application and analysis, key concept, and evaluation. The manual self-assessment covers these five criteria out of 14. It does not assess the complete three-commentary portfolio or calculate an IB 1–7 grade.

For AI feedback, upload one commentary together with its chosen news article. The tool reads extracted text, so it leaves diagrams unassessed. Other criterion marks are provisional; where the evidence cannot be assessed reliably, the tool leaves the mark unassigned. It does not produce an AI total.

Open the Economics IA tool to review your commentary. Check the feedback against your original document and discuss uncertain points with your teacher.

Why Use the IA Grader?

Depending on the subject's own guide and your level, the IB Internal Assessment makes up 20% to 40% of your total grade. Being able to evaluate your report before you submit it is a major advantage.
