Frequently Asked Questions
How does the EE Grader work?
The analysis engine evaluates your uploaded Extended Essay (PDF or DOCX) against the IB EE rubric criteria A–E. You receive a separate score, feedback and improvement suggestions for each criterion.
How reliable are the results?
The score given is estimated feedback and does not replace the official IB EE grade. However, it helps you see your strengths and weaknesses across the A–E criteria. The real grade is awarded by the IB's external moderators.
Which subjects are supported?
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Psychology, History, English A, English B and Turkish A. The same A–E criteria are used for every subject; feedback is tailored to each subject's academic conventions.
Do I need to upload the RPPF (reflection form)?
You can upload a single file. If you append your RPPF content to the end of your EE, the Engagement (E) criterion is assessed much more accurately. If there is no RPPF, the engine states this clearly.
How many times can I analyze my EE?
To keep usage costs under control, each user can run one EE analysis every 24 hours. If you need more, you can get supervision support.
Does this mean I wrote it with AI?
No — using AI only to get feedback does not violate academic honesty. However, you must tell your supervisor that you used this tool and ensure that all academic content in your EE is your own work.
